Puppy Contract

DEPOSITS

If you are placing a $200.00 deposit down on a puppy from a coming litter and there are not enough puppies available in the litter or if the gender or coloring you desired is not available, you will be given the choice to place your deposit down on another coming litter or have a full refund of your deposit within a 2 week period. Upon placing a payment down on a puppy already existing in a litter and is still in our possession your payment is also refundable if your puppy becomes ill or dies while still in our possession, or you will have the choice to put your payment towards another puppy. If there are no available littermates remaining, or the sex which you had made a payment down on, then you may receive a refund of your payment within 2 weeks.  Your deposit is always available for refund within a 2 week period, we do not keep your deposit.

HEALTH AND GUARANTEE

You the buyer will be given all health records and proper registration forms for the puppy. The puppy has been provided with the best care possible. Your pup will be vet checked at 6 weeks of age by a lienced veterinarian.  Your pup will have regular wormings and regular treatments for Coccidiosis and Giardia befor he/she leaves our kennel. Your pup will have all the proper vaccines according his/her age before leaving.

TWO YEAR GUARANTEE - If the unlikely event your puppy dies within two years from its birth due to genetics, or a congenital disorder, your puppy will be replace with another puppy at no cost to you or you may receive a 100% refund of the cost of pup. The cause of death should be certified by a licensed veterinarian and once we receive the statement of cause of death your refund will be issued to you within an 8 week period. You have 5 business days to take your pup to your veterinarian and have your pup vet checked for a clean bill of health. Your pup will already be started on a heartworm preventative.  Your pup will have had the best possible care to prevent him or her from leaving our kennel with any parasites or minor conditions.

YOUR REPONSIBILITY

In getting one of our puppies, you are agreeing that you have the proper home for a basset where when taking your basset outside he/she will not wander without a guardian or fenced in yard. You also are agreeing that your dog will not be chained.  You are agreeing that your basset will have all the proper home care with proper shelter from harsh and hot weather along with proper health care.  In the event that you can no longer care for your hound, you are agreeing to contact Corkey Kennels and allow us to either have the option of taking the dog back or helping you place the dog to a secure loving home.

SHIPPING

We offer shipping to fly your puppy to you at your expense. All puppies that require shipping must be paid in full before the pup leaves our kennel. Your puppy cannot be shipped until 8 weeks of age, however, we do not ship our puppies until they are 9 weeks old. We cannot guarantee a specific ship date of your puppy. The weather plays a very important role in shipping puppies. Your puppy will be taken to the veterinarian within 10 days of flight, for a overall health check. Corkey Kennels will provide everything required for shipping the puppy to you safely. Once your puppy has been dropped off at the airport Corkey Kennels will no longer be responsible for the care or overall health of your puppy or any resulting conditions of your puppy that occurred while in the airlines care. However, your puppy will be covered by the airline’s insurance during the period of time the puppy is in their care. We will resume responsibility once you have received your puppy from the airport. If you are picking your puppy up in person you can pay your remaining balance the day of pick up. We accept cash or Pay Pal payments only for final payment.

We want to provide you with bassets that are healthy and happy for a life time. By signing this contract, you are stating that you have read , understood, and agree with this contract.
